Laura has been my dog and house sitter for the past 3 years. She was referred to me by one of our equine vets Dr. Carnine. I own three Labrador Retriever dogs, 2 yellows and a black. Two of them are sisters and are 7 years old. The other is my male yellow lab that has had 2 surgeries over the years, he is 11. He has alot of arthritis due to his age and the surgeries. We just recently purchased a 216 acre farm in Lexington, Kentucky where we breed and raise our Thoroughbred horses. We have 100 horses on the farm. We try to come back to the farm every two to three months for 2 weeks at a time. We can't bring the dogs with us until we move here permanently so Laura is there mother while I am away. She makes sure there regular routine is not disturbed by staying at the house. She sleeps in the same room we do and therefore the dogs are in their same environment and they sleep on their dog beds. I am very particular with all my animals but the older male dog is my shadow and best friend so there is no way I would leave him to come to Kentucky unless I knew he was getting the best care available. I would recommend Laura to anyone that wants more than someone to come and feed their animals. She grooms them, does toenails anal sacs and takes them to the vet when needed. that is another thing I feel is important since she has also worked for a vet for awhile and knows when an animal needs to be seen by a vet. I hope this helps to give you a little insight into what Laura does for my animals.
