About Me

I have been caring for and raising animals most of my life.  I started showing horses at the age of 11, one of them is Brandy, the picture above, I got him when he was 9 in 1977,  he is now 39.  I started pet sitting for neighbors when I was 12.  Growing up we had Rabbits, Chickens, Cows, Pigs, Sheep, Horses, Dogs, Cats, Birds, Fish, Hermit Crabs, Lizards, Snakes.  In high school I majored in Animal Science and joined the Rubidoux FFA showing sheep, dogs, and rabbits.  In Jan. 1990 I worked for Riverside Animal Hospital until 1994.  I mainly worked in the back doing bath and dips, caring for the boarders, helping in surgeries, treatments and office calls, also I did some pet sitting for some of the Animals Hospital  clients. I worked for a brief stint at Circle City Animal Hospital doing Vet Tech. work (x-rays, shots, drawing blood, putting in IV's, etc.  Then I got hired by the Post Office in 1994.  In 2001, I started my Pet Sitting Business because I missed working in the business of Animal Care .  I still work at the post office, so I do my pet sitting before and after work and on my days off.   In 1995 I volunteered for the Riverside Police Dept. in dispatch and also in the photo lab and in 2001 I started volunteering at the now defunct Colton Tiger Rescue.  I try to do a little volunteering for rescue groups,  I am currently taking an online course for Wildlife Rescue and a 2 year home study course for Veterinary Technician, and one of my hobbies is Wildlife Photography.
